Founded in 2011, Gwythdarian has embarked upon the single minded goal to establish the interactive media industry in West Michigan.
Jim Landes ~ Founded multiple media and video game companies such as Horizon Simulations (1981), Midnight Games (1984), Aggiro (2006). He also worked in product management and sales with world class software houses such as MicroFocus, Merant, Symantec, and Corrigo. His professional design credits include ShadowHawk One, Epic, The Legends Game System, Crown of Avalon, and Swords of Pelarn. Under the pen–name of Saxondragon, Jim was the creator and driving force behind the multinational collaboration of the popular modification "Prophesy of Pendor" for Mount&Blade/Warband. He has been acknowledged for his work by dozens of national and international awards. Currently, Jim heads the Interactive Media and Game Design Program at Muskegon Community College. He earned degrees from Southern Oregon State University in Computer Science and Psychology.
Dr. Tim Trainor
Dr. Tim Trainor ~ Tenured professor, currently retired after 33 years of teaching Computer Information Systems (CIS) and Psychology at Muskegon Community College. Tim was also the CIS Academic Coordinator and chaired the College's Technology Council. He authored and/or co–authored over 18 computer textbooks that have been adopted by hundreds of programs across the globe and translated into Italian, Turkish, Korean and Chinese. Dr. Trainor earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Western Michigan University and a Doctorate degree from the University of Kansas. He received numerous awards including Outstanding Faculty and the Liberal Arts Network for Development (LAND) Innovation Award.
